In art, the process of curation is known as the care and conservation of works for their later exhibition and presentation to the public. From this premise, the project “Curated by AVEC812” was born.
We believe that part of our proposal must involve looking back. A look back with the intention of recovering and giving relevance to vintage pieces that possess outstanding value.
"Curated by AVEC812" is a selection of vintage garments specially chosen by AVEC812 for their unique features. Vintage pieces made with high-quality materials, fundamental for their good conservation, which are then subjected to a creative process of transformation.
This process of reinvention involves the initial assessment of the characteristics of each garment. Based on this analysis, we carry out a brainstorming process through which we decide the design of the treatment that each piece deserves. Finally, we apply the chosen treatment to each of the garments, a procedure carried out by hand in our studio-workshop in Elche.
Generally, the garments undergo one or more of the following treatments:
– Printing: Using a thermal machine, we apply elements that are identifiably part of the AVEC812 universe directly onto the garment.
– Dyeing: This treatment is especially applied to denim fabric garments. A process that gives a completely different finish from the original, which means a total transformation of the garment.
– Hand Painting: Through this technique, we let all our creativity flow by painting directly on the garment.
The result of all this transformation is a selection of exclusive and totally unique pieces. Garments of exceptional quality that, after going through the re-imagination process, acquire a completely new meaning.
Rescuing garments already made in the past makes “Curated by AVEC812” our most sustainable collection to date. The resources necessary for the manufacture of these pieces were consumed years ago, so putting them back into circulation does not generate a negative environmental impact. With “Curated by AVEC812,” we bring to light a circular fashion project with which we manage to shape a new central axis focused on sustainability.

Estampación: mediante el uso de una máquina térmica, aplicamos directamente sobre la prenda elementos identitarios del universo AVEC812.
Teñido: este tratamiento lo aplicamos especialmente en prendas de tejido vaquero. Un proceso que otorga un acabado totalmente distinto al original, lo que supone una transformación total de la prenda.
Pintado a mano: a través de esta técnica dejamos fluir toda nuestra creatividad pintando directamente sobre la prenda.
